New Camera!!!!

I am soo EXCITED.........I got the camera of my dreams! HAHA I got the Canon Rebel T3i and I cant put it down! This is my first DSLR and I was not planning on getting on till Christmas but we found a deal that we could not pass. Every time I walk the isles of Wal-Mart I go down the camera isle. I had been eyeing this camera a few months now but I still though it was too much. I have been doing so much research and I thought that I would just get the Cannon T3 instead of the Cannon T3i, then I realized that the video was different. The T3 had video in 720 HD which is good, but the T3i has video in 1080 HD. I love recording videos of the kids and I also have a You Tube Channel so I was really wanting the 1080HD. So we ended up buy this lovely thing for $400 with the regular price being $599! $200 savings!!!!

So yesterday the hubby had a day off and what did he want to do on his one day off??? Take the kids to the park and take pictures of them! He seriously has been playing with the camera more than me! He loves it!

So here are a few pics from yesterday......

Summer Days....

I seriously cant believe that I went to Wal-Mart the other day and I saw sweaters and sweats! REALLY!?!?! It's August! So funny! It is soo hot still and I know that around here that it wont cool down till October. So till then I am going to enjoy the out door play. I try to remember that although the heat sucks when it becomes rainy, cold, and windy we don't like to be outside so much.  Here are a few pics of the kiddos having some fun outside at my mommas house.

Another Monday.....

So today was the Monday I thought last Monday would be. Last Monday I woke up soo excited to be starting our first full week of K12. Then three hours into the morning I started going down. I went to the Dr. and just recently found out that my throat culture tested positive for Pertussis. I feel much better now and today is that Monday. I woke up so excited to start our week out strong. I am so glad today went soo smoothly! I know it wont always be like this but I will be thankful for everyday that is! Today we started off the day with phonics and I think we are going to continue to do that everyday. It is the longest lesson and I enjoy taking care of it first thing in the morning while Matthew is giving me his full attention. I cant say enough how much I love the K12 Curriculum. I am also meeting with Matthews teacher on Friday and we are both very much looking forward to that!

Sick Mommy Days

So I try my best to stay healthy and I hate being sick. I usually don't get sick but when I do.....Oh do I get it bad. I occasionally get a runny nose maybe a little cold but it goes away quickly. Right after we got back from Disneyland I started to not feel good. I thought it was allergies and over the weekend it got really bad. After both my mommas kept telling me that I needed to go the doctor I finally did and I am glad I did. My pulse was really high and I have an infection. I have my medication now and I plan on getting better soon. Its soo hard to be a mommy and then be sick!

Yesterday while at the Dr, she wanted to give me a shot to try to get my pulse to go down. I said ok sure and then after a few minutes thought I should probably mention to her that I nurse my baby. She said I couldn't! Then she said that I don't need to be nursing after 12 months. My baby is not even 14 months yet I don't think she is that old. haha She does not even walk regularly yet. After I explained that the baby nurses all night long and I am going to go though some major swelling, she decided to not give it to me after all. WHEW! My poor baby would have been so confused and upset! Not to mention my husband has to work and if I would have taken that away from sissy she would have not let the neighborhood sleep! She screams soo loud! We always said that she is going to be a singer.

So thank goodness to my AMAZING family! My parents watched Matthew and My Other Parents (Hubbys Mom) watched sissy! I am glad I split them up because I was at the doctor for 4 1/2 hours. The Hubby helped with the kids this morning because I had to go back for results. He tries so hard to help but dads...they just cant do it like mom! lol Bless their hearts for trying though!

Going Natural

So maybe for about a year now I have been thinking/wanting to go natural. So I have finally decided to just do it. I just felt like if I am taking the time to eliminate junk that I put into my body, why not eliminate the crap I out onto my body? When my daughter was born she had such sensitive skin and I purchased all natural products for her. I use to use them on my skin and I LOVED the way they felt, however they were pricey. Lately I have been doing some research and getting ideas (I LOVE PINTEREST) and I found that going natural it soo SIMPLE!!!

Here are a few things that I have done so far:

1. I purchased some coconut oil
*use it as a moisturizer (read that some people only use it every few
days since it leaves skin so hydrated)

2. I do an apple cider vinegar rinse instead of conditioner
( sounds cray cray I know but it works and no chemicals!!)

3. Yesterday I used baking soda instead of shampoo
( So if you know me personally your probably grabbing your phone to erase
             my number)

I know it all sounds crazy but if you know all the chemicals that are in products your might just go natural too! lol

My Momma did come up on my couponing stash so I am sure she is happy about that! haha

If any one has any Natural Ideas I would LOVE to hear them!!!

First Week Of School

So this week is our first week of School and we LOVE IT! It's a very laid back week and we are getting introduced to the program. We had a bit of a misunderstanding and almost got kicked out of the program! It turns out that our teacher had been trying to get a hold of us for the past two weeks and her e-mails I found in my spam, I have not a clue why, and I also found out that my voicemail had not been working either! CRAZY RIGHT!?!?!?!

I am so lucky that I was able to talk to her in time! She said that she was literally going to remove us from the program. So she ended up being able to send me all the e-mails again on an alternative e-mail that I use. She was soo nice and soo helpful, she gave me some great tips! We are going to meet in two weeks that way I have some time to build up my questions.

We missed the park day meet up that our teacher hosted. :( I thought it was such a great idea to have a park day meet up for the kids and hopefully we will be able to attend another one. I really love how involved our teacher is. We will be receiving weekly newsletters and our theme for the school year is SUPERHEROS. FUN!!

So pretty much this program is independent study. Matthew is doing everything he would do in regular school, he just gets to do all of the work from home. :)

I will continue to update our experiences as the year goes on!

Video Share...Getting the most out of your soap

I AM SOO EXCITED THAT I FOUND THIS VIDEO!!!!!

So maybe the past year or so our home has become more Natural. I LOVE it! I do feel like being Natural is being SIMPLE! I am trying to stay away from toxins and chemicals that are unnecessary. We are currently using castile soaps but I feel like they disappear in the shower after two days! :( When I saw this video I was seriously soo excited! I cant wait to try this!!!! Exactly what our family needed!!!!

A "Crunchy Mom"

Ok so I am really late when it comes to tends and things like that. I don't follow trends so I tend to be out of the loop on a lot of stuff. lol Just recently I heard the term "crunchy mom" well I mean I have read it before but didn't know what it was. I thought I knew what it was....I thought it was a mom who cloth diapered because diapers were crunchy?!?! You know I am a little weird seriously I didn't know what they meant by "crunchy" haha

So last night when I was in bed I was like I am going to go to my friend Google and ask what a "crunchy mom" was and I found out!

So a "Crunchy Mom" is a mom who Homeschools, Co Sleeps, Baby Wears, Buys Organic, the list goes on and on

I was laughing because I didn't know they had a label for me! haha JK!!! I don't do labels!!!!

But I do:

Believe in baby led weaning
Homeschool
Buy Organic whenever possible
My baby sleeps in my bed and has her crib in my room (she goes back and forth all night)
I wore my baby like it was something hot off the runways
I don't like pumping my kids full of meds I will always try natural first

I do all of these things out of my own motherly instincts. I don't like labels at all and will not be calling myself a "crunchy mom" but absolutely no judgment to those that do or to the moms that don't do the things that I do!!! I think that every mom does what they feel is best for their child and its ok to share ideas but everyone will do things their own way and that is  ok!!!

MOMS 50th Birthday! (hubby's mom)

So yesterday was a day of FUN! My Momma turned 50! Its actually my husbands mom but she is my mom too. haha My husband says its awkward when he hears me say "mother in law" or "father in law" My relationship with my husbands parents is an AMAZING one and I really do love them like my own parents. My husband said that "in laws" kinda has a negative feel to it. lol I guess it kinda does. Growing up I had older siblings that were married and I was always taught that your spouses parents are your parents. I am soo glad my spouses parents made this easy for me! lol They are just wonderful!

So my momma is a simple country girl and she did not want a big party or anything like that. Her big present is from papa who is taking her to Disneyland!!! She LOVES LOVES LOVES Disneyland!!!!!! So we just had dinner and watched a movies and had a good time at her house. I love her and I was soo happy to get together to celebrate her!
